ALKYD URETHANE YACHT VARNISH NEOMID

PURPOSE:
Weather- and wear-resistant alkyd urethane varnish for protection and decorative finishing of wooden surfaces. Suitable for interior and exterior use.
PROPERTIES:
- Creates high endurance, weather, wear, water and detergent resistant film.
- Preserves and emphasizes natural structure of wood.
EXAMPLES OF USE: Use for varnishing planed and sawn wooden surfaces: yachts, boats, terraces, facades, doors, window frames, parquet, furniture, staircases, etc. Suitable for interior and exterior (exposed to atmospheric precipitation) use.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- perform all work at the ambient temperature and treated surface temperature above +10°C;
- to ensure maximum bioprotection, use one of the following deeply penetrating colorless preservatives: NEOMID Base Eco, NEOMID 440 Eco or NEOMID 400 Eco, before varnishing.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Make sure the surface is free of mold, dirt, resin and grease. When handling fungal and mold-infected wood, treat the surface with a special purpose bleaching compound NEOMID 500. To ensure protection from bio deterioration, treat wood first with deep penetrating colorless preservatives, such as NEOMID Base Eco and NEOMID 400.
Always perform a test patch to make sure old and new varnishes are compatible.
APPLICATION:
Stir thoroughly before use. Apply 1-3 coats with a brush, paint roller or spray gun at a temperature above +10°С. If necessary, perform intermediate sanding. For the first coat, thin varnish with white spirit by 10%. When applying matt and semi-gloss varnish stir it every 10-15 minutes for even spreading of mat substance over the surface.
DRYING TIME: up to 4 hours at +20°С and relative humidity of 65% for one coat. Drying time at a temperature lower than +20°С increases. Cure time – 4-5 days.
CONSUMPTION: Theoretical consumption for one coat – 1 l/10-13 sq.m. Actual consumption depends on type of surface.
DISPOSAL:
Prevent product from entering soil, drains and surface waters. Dispose of empty containers with dry residue with other household products.
SAFETY MEASURES:
Flammable! Do not smoke or use open flame devices when using this product. Ventilate the room after handling. Use safety goggles and gloves. Avoid eye and skin contact. In case of contact, rinse with plenty of water and soap. Do not breathe vapor. If swallowed, seek medical attention and show the label. Shelf-life declines rapidly after containers have been opened and left partially empty.
SHELF LIFE: 24 months.
COMPOSITION: Alkyd-urethane resin, white spirit, additives.
